Introduction
Hey there - I'm Joanna Stevens, an actor and voiceover artist. Welcome. I'm excited to share my work with you. As an actor, I'm driven by quiet strength, integrity, and conviction. I love the craft deeply - the discovery, the humanity, and the challenge of exploring what lives beneath a character's surface. On set, I'm known for professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a positive, collaborative spirit. Beyond acting, I like adventure and animals - especially dogs - who hold a special place in my heart. I share the Ravenclaw traits of wisdom, creativity, and wit, and see acting as more than a passion - it's a calling, something I was born to do.
Biography
Joanna was born in Indiana and later moved to Florida, where at the age of ten - standing on stage at the Ocala Civic Theatre - she shouted out, "Hello World!" and affirmed her passion for acting.
She began college at sixteen, earning an A.S. degree in American Sign Language before training in the BFA Acting program at the University of Central Florida. There, she immersed herself in on-camera work, theatre, and performance training - and enjoyed every minute of it.
She later relocated to California, spending eight years in medical-simulation acting at Stanford University School of Medicine. Now, based in southern California, she is deeply engaged in the full curriculum at The Actors Room under Steven G. Lowe. Her training includes classes such as Techniques and Business to strength both her craft and career.
Through every chapter, acting has remained a constant - a craft she loves, a challenge she embraces, and a place where she feels most at home.
